INTERNATIONAL Karate Daigaku South Africa (IKDSA) karatekas recently brought honour to KZN when they participated in a championship tournament hosted by United World Karate Federation – South Africa (UWKF - SA – a recognised Federation by Sascoc), in Turrfontein, Gauteng recently.

The team of six karatekas (three men and three women) participated in the individual and team categories and each reigned victorious.

A total of 16 medals were won between them and as a result of their achievements, they were then chosen to participate in the UWKF SA World Championships scheduled for early next year.

The team was coached by Sensei Jodache Inderjeeth who was extremely proud and said it was through the students’ hard work and high level of dedication that they had performed outstandingly well.

Their instructor, Sensei Govender, added that he was confident that the team would return winners and applauded them as they aimed high and achieved their much deserved results.
