A COMBINED District Youth and Spar Ladies Run - 10 kilometre - will take place in Kokstad for the first time tomorrow starting at 8am at the Oval sport grounds.

Chairperson of the Greater Kokstad Sports Federation Nick Sissing said the top 50 participants will go on to be part of the youth race.

The categories are:

Top 12 U15 boys’

Top 12 U15 girls’

Top 12 U19 boys’

Top 12 U19 girls’

Two officials.

Sissing said the Department of Sport and Recreation will pay the athletes who make it through to the youth run on 30 May.

In the Spar ladies race 50 ladies will be chosen in the following age categories:

Top 12 x U14

Top 12 x U19

Top 12 x U35

Top 3 x 35-39

Top 3 x 40-49

Top 3 x 50-59

Top 3 x 60 and above
