KOKSTAD Afro-pop and jazz artist Rocksta is thanking God after she cheated death in a road accident recently.

A friend and her were on their way to a meeting in Matatiele when the wheel of the car they travelling in came off.

“Everything happened so fast. We were approaching Cedarville when we heard the wheel pop out of the car.

“The next thing the car rolled off the road and went into farm land,” she said.

She said they managed to get out of the car.

“By the favour and grace of God we got out of the car with minor injuries. My ankle joint on my right foot was dislocated and my friend was scratched on his arms,” she said.

“I am really thankful to God for saving me because it was His hand that saved me. Considering that we are both doing well however, the car is beyond repair.”

Rocksta said she wants to squash rumours that she is paralysed.

“People have been talking about my accident and I want to clarify that I am not paralysed. In fact I am recovering very well.

“The Kokstad community have been very supportive since they heard of my accident and I am thankful for that, but special mention has to go to my family who have been with me from when I was at E.G. Usher Memorial Hospital.”

Rocksta said God has given her another chance at life.

“God has given me another opportunity to live. It is not every day that people survive an accident, but from now I will be living life to the fullest, and with gratitude.

I want to concentrate on my music career more and I will be recording a single track soon to thank God for what He did for me.”

Rocksta is currently promoting Indoni Yamanzi, an album she released in 2012
