Stiff sentences for murder and robbery suspects

2015-11-04 06:00

HEAVY sentences were handed out at the Ramsgate Court last week for a murder and robbery that took place on 1 January, 2014 in Maluti.
The court found out that Zukile Mathandele (47), Nombuyiselo Mathandele (37), Ntsu Khaue (21) and Morena Victor Khaue (67) went to deceased’s house that day and killed him, after which they loaded the body onto their bakkie and drove away.

On their way to Matatiele town, the bakkie overturned. They then fled the scene, leaving the body and the overturned bakkie behind. After an investigation they were arrested and found guilty last week, and sentenced. Mathendele and Morena received life for murder and Ntsu received 20 years for murder. They all were sentenced to an extra 15 years for robbery.

The officers involved in investigating the case are Warrant Officer Homan, Warrant Officer Sitlaba, Warrant Officer Jonase and Sergeant Ntoko. - Supplied..
