FOREVER Young Athletics is thrilled after three athletics brought home awards.
Marlene Jacobs, Walter Oelofse and Richard Ingram took part in the Gauteng North Masters Athletic Championships in Pretoria last Saturday.

In the 60 age group, Jacobs won gold medal in discus and silver medal in the 200m and javelin. Jacobs had a bad fall in the 100m and dislocated her shoulder.

Oelofse, in the 55 age group also did well by bringing home gold in the 200m and silver in the 100m and 400m. He is now preparing for the South African Championships next month.
“To run a 51:1 seconds time in the 400m at the age of 35 is fantastic,” said Ingram.

If he can maintain this kind of achievement he could run in the green and gold colours soon.

The three excited athletics have more that a month to prepare for the South African champs which will take place in Pretoria on 13 and 14 May. - Supplied.
