ALTHOUGH it was a cold Underberg weekend, the warmth inside the Underberg Himeville Arts Festival last weekend was obvious.
The festival started on Friday night with storytellers giving their best.

The organisor, Kyle Allan, said the festival was organised in collaboration with the Family Literacy Project, and poets.

Guests included former Igagasi FM presenter, Zookey Zarling, poet Allan Kolski Horwitz, Ike Mboneni Muila and Frank Meintjies.

“Novelists and writers also attended and on Saturday books were launched and we did some outreach activities at a community library where we encouraged people to read, and we held workshops at the Himeville museum,” said Allan.

The Himeville Arts Festival is to be an annual event and organisors will announce details of the next one soon. - Supplied.
