THE annual Bergview Primary inter-house athletics meeting took place at North End Stadium in Matatiele last Friday. The day was opened with praye.
Bergview Primary School was thankful to supporters who braved the cold weather to attend.

Bergview pupils were very excited dressing up in red and blue to represent their houses - Lions (red) or Cheetahs (blue).

The first event was the long distance race for U10 and 13 girls, then the boys. After that, Grade R pupils, U5 and U6, ran the 60m and 80m races.
Then the Grade 1 pupils up to U7, and then the U13 ran the 60m, 80m and 100m.

The highlights of the day were the teachers and parents races of 100m. The day ended with relays.

The school thanks the staff and pupils who made the day a success.
Thanks to the security at the stadium as well as Mr Oosthuizen, and the Grade 6 and Grade 7 pupils for assisting to prepare the field.
A big thank you to Mr Cook for organising day, to Mr Premschand, tuck shop helpers, the first aid team and everyone who came to support this event.
Thank you to Walter Oelofse Junior for the photos and for helping to keep pupils disciplined and entertained.
