Body found in sewerage drain

AN unidentified corpse was discovered in a sewerage­ drain behind Meadow Meat next to the river on an open veld in Kokstad on 25 December, 2015 at around 4pm.

The black male is about 34 years old, light in complexion and his height is about 1.5m, according to the police.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Dumisani Ncongo

said the body was half naked and has an open wound at the back of the head. The stomach was cut open and his intestines were hanging out.
"He has tattoos on his left side. The body is being kept in the state mortuary" said Ncongo.

"If any person has information, they must contact Sergeant Damoyi of Kokstad detectives on 039 727 6300 during working - 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday" said Ncongo. They can also contact him on 039 797 1110 or 079 500 0199. - Supplied.
