KOKSTAD boxer Jean Nyembezi, chairperson of the coaches’ commission in the Harry Gwala District, was among the boxers who attended a four-day financial management course at the Management College of Southern Africa (Mancosa) in Durban recently.

The course was organised by KZN Olympic Style Boxing Organisation with the aim of equipping the 35 boxers with financial management skills.

Nyembezi said the training helped her to understand how to keep money safe in Harry Gwala.
“I want to make sure there is no over-expenditure of money.
“I can use this certificate to
apply for work in government
departments or municipalities,” she said.

Nyembezi teaches children, aged between 12 and 19, boxing at the Greater Kokstad Boxing Club.
She encouraged women to get involved and learn boxing as a
form of self-protection, and to have fun.
The 35 boxers received certificates on completion of the course.

KZN Olympic Style Boxing
Organisation is the first federation to offer this training to members.
