THE Department of Correctional Services took a giant step by motivating its employees at Matatiele Correctional Centre on Monday. The event was attended by radio personalities Kutlwano Mavundla and Sibongile Sisolo from Alfred Nzo Community Radio station, personal fitness trainer and pastor, Kopano Pokotho from His Presence Bible Church in Kokstad.

Kokstad management area employee assistant practitioner Thabile Ngidi said the programme will enhance the well-being of staff and avert a situation where officials put in temporary incapacity leave due to health-related problems.
"This is a continuation of the programme that was rolled out by the department. We have gone as far as forging partnership with stakeholders to assist in promoting wellness as we do not have recreation facilities in Matatiele Correctional Centre," said Ngidi.
Pokotho said the reason some people fail in life is because they are not true to themselves - they imitate others and are scared of challenges.
“People must do away with a rabbit attitude, they must adopt the attitude of a lion. The rabbit is always scared and runs away from everything, while the lion is king in its territory and faces its challenges with bravely," said Pokotho.
