Dlamini-Zuma viewpoint

2017-06-02 06:00

IT is a pleasure and honour to celebrate with you the launch of the new logo and brand positioning for the Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality, which will set this municipality and its community on the road to a new, brighter and prosperous future.

The brand positioning we are witnessing today is important because it assists the organisation to assume a new and favourable identity to match the challenges in the 21st century.
The rejuvenation of the area will also serve as a catalyst for growth that will promote the socioeconomic status of the area and create numerous local job opportunities.
I wish to acknowledge the foresight you have displayed in restoring the confidence and hope in Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma area to its former glory days.

There is no doubt in my mind that the effort of our councillors, management and staff will go a long way in boosting the confidence, raising the morale of citizens, speed up service delivery to our people and improve the quality of their lives.
Having named this municipality after a living icon, it gives us joy to be associated with a great human, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

The municipality had to replace the old brand structure of the former Kwa Sani and Ingwe municipalities which comprised multiple identities and we had to come up with a unified municipal brand identity in line with the consolidation of the two municipalities into one.

As a municipality that is committed, responsive and dedicated to serving its people, the new brand will distinguish you from other municipalities and allow a harmonious relationship with the people it serves.

It will also enable the citizens to associate with it and know what services they should expect from it.
This new positioning is also seen as a strategic move to project Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality as a favourable destination in which to live and conduct business.
It is hoped that this new image will positively influence certain perceptions and attract investors, tourists, traders, entrepreneurs and citizens to invest and live in this beautiful part of the province.

May our municipality grow from strength to strength in achieving its objectives which it has set for itself.
