UGU karatekas attended a training session hosted by Karate South Africa (KSA) and Japanese karate legend Shihan Masao Kagawa (9th Dan) in Tongaat recently. Shihan Kagawa is the national coach of the Japan Karate Federation and chief instructor of Japan Karate Shotorenmi.

He was previously the head of the World Karate Federation’s Technical Commission.

Sensei Frank Moodley said the three-hour training session was of immense value to attendees.
