A WARM greeting to you, as we celebrate the birth of one of the finest sons of Africa this month.

#MatatYouth2TheFront

A two-day youth empowerment indaba starts today at the Matatiele Town Hall.
Matatiele local Municipality Mayor, Cllr Momelezi Mbedla will open the indaba, the Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Buti
Manamela will deliver the keynote
address and officiate the launch of the
youth office, which will work in partnership with the National Youth Development
Agency.

The indaba aims to provide a platform for young people to organise, network, learn and share ideas and concerns.

More importantly, it will provide a guide for relevant stakeholders, and government in particular, with regards to the development of young people in Matatiele.
From the indaba the municipality will have a youth empowerment strategy that will be a guiding tool for youth develop- ment.

To follow deliberations of the indaba, we invite the public to tune into Alfred Nzo Community Radio and social media platforms, and like our Facebook page Matatiele Local Municipality.
Also remember to check out our hashtag #MatatYouth2TheFront.

Municipality electrifies 481 households

Matatiele Local Municipality continues to strive towards addressing service delivery backlogs, electricity being one of the main priorities.
Life is about to change for the people of Madlangala in Ward 11 because the village has been without electricity for years, a state of affairs the municipality is working hard to change.
On Tuesday, the municipality introduced to the community, the contractor appointed to electrify 481 households.
The project cost is R9.380 million.
