MATATIELE SAPS are looking for suspects in connection with the murder of a Matatiele couple of Lugada village.
On Thursday morning a 41-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were found dead in their dining-room with gunshot wounds.

“The man was on the couch with a gunshot wound to the head and he was holding a firearm.
“The woman was on the floor in a pool of blood with two gunshot wounds to the neck and shoulder,” said SAPS spokesperson captain Raphael Motloung.

Firearm cartridges were found next to the victims and in the bedroom.

Police suspect that the couple were killed on Wednesday night. The motive behind the killing is unknown at this stage.

A case of murder has been opened. If anyone has any information, they must contact Warrant Officer Hoffman on 083 239 9887.
