NDZ viewpoint

GREETINGS to all Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma residents. It is a pleasure that we meet again this week.
Our approach as an integrated governmental relations body via Sukuma Sakhe is bringing development to our communities.
As the municipality in partnership with the Department of Education under the Pholela Circuit, we are proud to announce that through social corporate investment from the private sector and non-governmental organisations, we are working towards enhancing teaching and learning in our schools as a response to issues that were raised during the cabinet visit by the Premier and the cabinet at the beginning of the year in our area.

For this above reason, the NGO, Rheinmetall Denel Munition, adopted Sonyongwana High School and sponsored the school with e-learning Infrastructure, physical science furniture, apparatus and kits.
They also trained teachers and are in a process of employing maths and physical science specialists for the benefit of pupils and the community.
THE PROJECT ALSO COVERS THE FOLLOWING FOR LOCAL COMMUNITY:

• water treatment facility, which will produce fresh drinkable water;
• a modern sewerage system that will provide toilets and a safe way to dispose of sewage for the community;
• provide bursaries for pupils interesting in engineering fields; and
• introduce a reward system, which not only rewards top achieve, but also the hardest working people and the most improved pupil.

From July 10 to 14 Rheinmetall Munition has deployed 14 maths and physics specialist to teach Grade 12 pupils. Their focus is on individual attention as the ratio per class is 1:6

On July 15 Rheinmetall Denel Munition is hosting a career expo for Grade 11 and Grade 12 pupils within the CMC, focusing on maths and science

On July 16 Rheinmetall Denel Munition will hold a society feast and indoor games when the community will be integrated with the school community.
The purpose is to give the community a sense of ownership and protect what has been invested in the school.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs T.T. Magaqa and her team for their contributions to our community to better the lives of our pupils, you are a shining example, a leader in your own right, as the NDZ municipality we are fortunate to have a humble servant like you, thank you

Until we meet again, have a blessed week.
