LAST Sunday 16 netball teams played in the mayor’s tournament at Mount Currie Senior Secondary. Of the 16, eight were male teams.

The male Lions team beat Tigers 18-2 and received R3 000. Tigers received R2 000 for making second place. In the female games, Tigers beat Young Eastern 22-8 in the semis. Lions beat Cheetahs 18-10 in semis and then played against Tiger in the finals, who they beat 23-18 and received R3 000. Lions received R2 000 for coming second. Tigers beat Eastern Rangers 16-4 and Young Leads beat Kokstad Warriors 6-0.
