Old-age home get groceries on Mandela Day

THE residents Elonwabeni Old Age Home in Bhongweni received groceries from the KZN premier’s office as part of celebrating Mandela Day on Tuesday.

Resident Nontobeko Ndlovu thanked government for giving them food.

“Happy birthday Tata Nelson Mandela.

“We remember and love you. Mandela fought for us to be free. May his soul rest in peace,” said Ndlovu.

The home manager, Luvuyo Nongimba, thanked government for supporting it and said the groceries will make a huge difference to them.

Super Zuma visited Elonwabeni Old Age Home accompanied by members of the ruling party, Greater Kokstad Municipal Mayor Bheki Mtolo, Harry Gwala District Municipality Speaker Nosisa Jojozi, councillors and officials from the premier’s office.
