MEMBERS of Economic Freedom Fighters donated food and
groceries to two needy families at Mthintwa village outside Umzimkhulu on Saturday.
EFF regional chairperson in Harry Gwala, Linda Mbele,
said the plight of theses families was seen by party members
during their door-to-door
campaigns.

“Members of the party then raised funds to help the two
families,” said Mbele.

Beneficiary Ethel Sithole,
who does not have an identity
document, was brought to
tears when explaining her
condition.

“My ID was damaged by my mentally ill son, and I am still waiting for a new one.”

The village has no electricity and is far away from Umzimkhulu town.

Another beneficiary, Laurence Mokoena, lives with five grandchildren and his unemployed children.
Mbele promised to get food for the families and assist Sithole with getting her a new identity document.
“These two families were recruited to join EFF and we need their votes.”
