Prison staff awarded for service

TWENTY Bongweni C-Max prison and Kokstad Medium Correctional Centre staff celebrated 10 years service ain the Department of Correctional Services recently.

Sipho Mbanjwa, at Bongweni C-Max prison said the department employed him in 2007 as a correctional officer.

“Many staff members who started in 2007 have been promoted to higher ranks and I appreciate that,” he said.

Issac Sethlodi, co-ordinator of the employee relations office in the Department of Correctional Services congratulated staff for working hard in the department.
He told staff members to educate themselves in order to get promoted to higher positions.

They were also awarded certificates. - Supplied.
