Store donates to schools

SEVEN Kokstad schools received R15 000 each from Cashbuild as part of giving back to the community last Friday and pupils showed their happiness by singing and dancing at the event.

The store manager, Jan Klopper said they decided to give back to the community by supporting local schools.
The pupils had participated in a drawing competition promoted by the store.
“Pupils won prizes for their drawings. The store is contributing to the development of education,” said Klopper.

The beneficiary schools are Kokstad Junior, Kokstad Public Primary, Nonkqubela Primary, Xolo Xolo Senior Primary, Nomzamo Primary, Kokstad Primary and Seven Fountains Primary.

Jean-Pierre Haasbroek, Inan Dlakazela, Yongama Mkulisi, Mlandokazi Mlomo, Seleke Mpulokeng, Ayabonga Mngweba and Inga Nomvungu received gold medals for their drawings.

Heath Turner, Lonwabo Maboza, Abongile Gecan, Unathi Dzanibe, Cekiso Lathina, Mcebisi Cele and Aphelele Ngwenya earned silver medals for their drawings and bbronze medals were given to Chad Kok, Banoxolo Mzimkhulu, Azol Dlamini, Ntando Mpumza, Khaya Ngesti, Siyolise Gushe and Sibusiso Mlingani.

Kokstad Junior School public relations officer Mia Grant said the school is delighted to receive the money and a decision will be made on how to best spend it.
