IT’S that time of the year when jazz lovers throughout Ugu start gearing up for the annual Ugu Jazz Festival, which will take place on June 24 at the Ugu Sports and
Leisure Centre in Gamalakhe.

The festival has run for six years, organised by Cyassound Events.

“The event celebrates living
legends in the genre of jazz while giving a platform for upcoming
artist.
“This year we will have performances by Jimmy Dludlu,
Ringo Mandlingozi, Amanda Black, Sands, Brenda Mtambo, Naima K, Mondli Ngcobo, Zakes Bantwini, Mkhumbane Jazz Band, Disebo, DJ Mshedis, DJ Muntu, just to name a few,” said Cyassound Events assistant event manager, Nana Blose.

As in previous years patrons are asked to make use of the park and ride service, which is accessible from the various grounds in Port Shepstone and Margate.

Blose said before the main festival event, other events will take, which will be publicised before the date.

Limited early bird tickets cost R200, gold circle R350 and VIP R1200.
