A TOTAL of 30 pupils from IbisiSenior Secondary outside Umzimkhulu received uniforms from musician Anele Kondile and businesswoman Siphokazi Thiam on August 16.

Kondile and Thiam have a “back-to-school” programme that donates uniforms to pupils in Kokstad, Umzimkhulu, Matatiele and Mount Fletcher. “The school was chosen because it is one of the best performing schools in Umzimkhulu and we want pupils to be motivated when they wear their new uniform. Also the old uniforms discouraged some pupils from coming to school,” said Kondile.

They also donated uniforms to 10 Nomzamo Primary pupils.

Kondile said Shayamoya Secondary and Carl Malcomess High will also benefit from their programme.

Ibisi Senior Secondary thanked Kondile and Thiam for the donation.
