AFRICAN National Congress Youth League wants to remain united and tells young people not to be affected by what is happening at national level of the ruling party.

Last Sunday more than 200 delegates from all branches of Harry Gwala attended a cadre forum in Ixopo.
One of the discussions focused on the Constitutional Court’s judgment against President Jacob Zuma.
Zwelakhe Mngonyama, a provincial youth league member, told delegates there is a political plot against Zuma. He said in 2005 Zuma was ANC deputy president and there were charges levelled against him then. “As much as the public protector has the right to investigate whatever business in terms of Chapter Nine, Section 182 of the Constitution that was suspected to have improper results or findings, their concern is why are opposition parties asking the Public Protector to investigate Zuma,” said Mngonyama.

Sbusiso Phuzi, the district youth league spokesperson, said youth league members must not lose hope in the party when they hear opposition parties chanting “Zuma must fall”.

“We are fully behind Zuma as the president until his term expires.”
