FOURTEEN Grade 12 pupils have been awarded certificates for their outstanding academic achievements in various categories at Gobindlovu High School in Elandskop.

The recipients of the awards were Sanele Ndlovu, who also got certificates for excelling in mathematics, geography and life sciences, Nokwanda Ngcobo for Zulu; Thuthukani Dlamini for English and Sisekelo Khuboni for mathematics and physical science.

Also honoured were Mxolisi Sithole for maths literacy and Samkelisiwe Ngcobo for business studies and Philasande Ngcobo for tourism.

A certificate for the most disciplined certificate was given to Lindelani Govender while Nomthandazo Madlala and Nqubeko Nxele were awarded for always being in school uniform. The patience award was given to Arnold Madondo.

Gobindlovu High School English subject head, Bengs Nkosi, presented the awards while his colleague I.F. Shozi motivated pupils and wished them good luck in their final examination which started on Monday.

Event programme director, Bafana Mthembu gave the matriculants tips on how to study effectively. The academic awards were co-ordinated by Miss MaNtombi Ngcobo. – Supplied
