LOCAL artists will on Saturday perform at kwaNkosi hall in Gezubuso in a bid to raise donations for 12 needy families in the Vulindlela and Greater Edendale areas.

The concert will feature artists, poets and comedians and is an initiative Intokozo Community Outreach NGO, aimed at assisting poverty stricken families, youth and vulnerable children.

The concert starts at 11am and entrance is R10. Concert organiser Golide Makha said: “We are calling people to come in their numbers to support this initiative of giving back to the community. Those who wish to make a donation must bring them on the day. We will not accept donations in cash, as we are not making any profit.

“ Through the concert we want to encourage people about the importance of giving. You do not need to have much to donate, but the little you have can make a difference.”

The same concert will be at Thuthuka hall in Edendale on 16 June. For more information, contact Golide on 074 710 9252
