OLWAZINI Discovery Centre at the Golden Horse Casino recently held its annual Science­ and Technology Expo where 10 schools from the UMgungundlovu District Municipality displayed their projects which were then judged by representatives from Eskom.

This year 141 pupils participated.

The Olwazini Discovery Centre was opened in 2002 by King Goodwill Zwelithini and has hosted the expo at the district level for the past eight years.

Andrew Irumba, Golden Horse Casino marketing manager, said that the centre was part of their corporate social investment and has, over the years, invested in the uptake and improvement of the centre adding a computer skills room which gives people the opportunity of learning computer skills, free of charge
