IN-FORM Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder Mpho Makola is already dreaming of an Al-Ahly rematch in the final of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Pirates reached the semi-finals of the event with a 2-0 victory over AC Leopards on Saturday, with Makola and Oupa Manyisa getting the goals at Orlando Stadium.

Bucs have a score to settle with Ahly, having lost 3-1 on aggregate to the Egyptian giants in the final of the 2013 CAF Champions League.

“In terms of who we play in the semi-finals we are not really concerned about that,” Makola says.

“We are just looking forward to playing in the semis.

“It would be really a great final if we meet Al-Ahly again.”

Makola feels Pirates’ exploits on the continent is also serving them well domestically.

“I think the experience we are getting in the CAF tournaments is phenomenal. Our attitude has changed a lot in terms of how we approach every game.

“Even when we come back and play in the PSL it does a lot of wonders for us.

“So I think playing in the champions league before - that experience we got there - helped us a lot this time.”

The Sea Robbers will battle Zamalek for Group B honours in Cairo next month following the White Knights’ 3-1 win at CS Sfaxien on Sunday.
