PITSO Mosimane is understood to be pursuing Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune because he wants to bring his former Bafana Bafana players to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Khune has been subject to media speculation linking him with a move away from Naturena to Chloorkop. At the same time Sundowns have yet to confirm or deny interest in the player, but according to a club insider, Pitso wants his man.

“The truth is that Pitso wants to bring his Bafana players to Sundowns and this is why he likes Khune,” the insider tells KickOff.com.

“Obviously right now this is a sensitive matter in Chloorkop and everyone has been instructed not to say anything until the matter has been finalised.

“But the club is pursuing Khune because they know he will be a free agent and therefore can talk to any team of his choice.”

Amakhosi midfielder George Lebese is another player from Naturena who has attracted interest from their Tshwane rivals.

The source confirms: “There is also George [Lebese]. The club wants him too and is silently pursuing him because the coach also admires him.”-KickOff.com
