INDABENHLE Primary School returned as overall winners in KZN at the Top School Provincial Games in Durban last week.

This is the third time Ndabenhle has entered the competition and for the past two years have emerged the winner of the prestigious competition.

The boys’ and girls’ U14 gym performers achieved first place. The U14 rope performers received third place.

Sukuma Comprehensive School pupils took part in aerobics and skip star and earned trophies in these categories.

Indabenhle teacher and coach Sthembile Nyathikazi said the competition was tough.

“Although this was our third time entering, when you see your competitors it feels as though it is the first time,” she said.

Indabenhle School principal Xoli Mavuso said she is over the moon.

“They never disappoint me. I must say I’m proud of the dedication and passion from all the parties involved. The teachers always give it their all, this would have never been a success without the teachers and a 100% dedication from the pupils.”

Nyathikazi said they had a tough competition but it is their mission to excel and put their school on the map.

“It was not easy, but we are proud that we made a mark. I want to thank the pupils for believing in themselves and giving it their all. We had great competitors in Durban and we are proud that we raised the flag of our school. The love and passion from the pupils is amazing. We thank the teachers and principal for the support they have given us,” she said.
