Bones set to inspire

2015-06-10 06:00

TALENTED singing star Vincent Bones, winner of the 2014 South African Idols Competition, is set to bring the curtain down in style on Welkom’s Got Talent on Saturday (23/05).

He is billed to perform as a guest act at the prestigious event which will see the top eight finalists battling it out on stage to be crowned as the winner of 2015 Welkom’s Got Talent.

Bones has been invited by Welkom’s Got Talent pioneers with the main objective to inspire the contestants taking part in the competition.

Given his inspiring life story, he is a living testimony that nothing is impossible.

This 29-year-old’s inspiring life story touched many South Africans during the audition phase of last year’s competition.

After the deaths of his mother and uncle, Bones left Eldorado Park in Gauteng on his own.

He got on a train at the tender age of 12 and started living on the streets in Sunnyside, Pretoria.

A stint in Boy’s Town turned his life around and he now works as a church worship leader at the Eagle Christian Centre in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, where he lives with his wife and their baby boy.

Bones rose to prominence after his stunning performance in the 2014 South African Idols competition that revealed his talent in music.

The singer has not looked back since.

Bones has often said how inspired he was by renowned stars such as Teddy Pendergrass, and he works hard to model his promising musical career to be like that of his idols.

At the Welkom’s Got Talent grand finale on Saturday (23/05), Bones is expected to wow audiences and inspire the finalists who are vying for the ultimate prize of Welkom’s Got Talent.

The lucky winner of this year’s edition can look forward to some exciting prizes – R20 000 in cash, R5 000 in fashion vouchers sponsored by the Just Property Group Goldfields Mall as well as an opportunity to perform as an opening act at one of the Goldfields Casino’s scheduled concerts within six months after winning the contest.
