Conspiracy all around us

2015-11-04 12:39

MBUSI MUSAWENKOSI RADEBE, Bohlokong, Bethlehem:

COMRADES, we know that each of us has a different understanding of politics. Politics will always be with us because of human behaviour.

Conspiracy, more than ever, is part of the political scene. People emerge as leaders because they are masters when it comes to plotting. Character assassination has become the name of the game.

Conspiracy theories abound and contribute to tenures of office being shortened from the mandatory five years. This derives from the ambitions of those who are hungry for power.

Up to today, we do not know why Thabo Mbeki was recalled by populists. We expected judicial charges to be laid by his contenders, but there has been nothing until now.

Former Scorpions and NPA boss, Bulelani Ncguka, was purged as an apartheid spy, but until now there is no evidence to prove that. The Public Protector has been dubbed a spy, but nothing has been proven.

Socio-economic politics are just ignored, but conspiracy theories are being fed to the masses.

Ideologies have been hijacked by conspiracy theorists. Communication hacking is one strategy of conspirators to scare other concerned groups. Bribery is also used in attempts to lend credibility to these conspiracy theories.

Burglaries into offices in order to obtain important documents are organised by powerful politicians in order to falsely accuse other factions.

It is time that we open our eyes.
