PROMINENT motivational speaker Dr David Molapo will tackle men’s health matters at the Men’s Power Gala Dinner to be held at Pretorius Kloof Park in Bethlehem on 31 July. The event coincides with the campaign of Men’s Health held during this month to educate men across the country about health risks they may face and how to prevent them.

Dr Molapo will share the stage with radio personality Criselda Kananda and Prof. Khalil Osiris, and will address men about the significance of a healthy lifestyle. The focus will be on starting a positive dialogue around responsible fathering and sharing insights about positive rolemodelling, creating an awareness about men’s health risks and symptoms to look out for and where to get medical assistance.

Portia Molapo, spokesperson for Women of Soul Events Management who organised the event, said the need to create awareness among men about issues pertaining to health and a healthy lifestyle promoted the staging of the gala dinner at which men would also be acknowledged for their role and celebrate fatherhood.

“A healthy lifestyle may also help prevent illnesses by knowing what symptoms to look out for and alerting men to the warning signs of prostate and testicular cancers so that they can be detected and treated appropriately. It is therefore important for men to visit their doctors on a regular basis.

“As we all know, a father’s presence or his absence is the one thing in life that profoundly influences who we become, the decisions we make and the way we view the world,” said Molapo.

Gospel star Deborah Fraser and Philile are due to perform live at the dinner. For more information contact Portia Molapo on 060-336-1202
