“NOTHING is as fulfilling as helping somebody.”

This is the philosophy of Percival Khoarane, who started the Eros Khoarane Foundation of Hope and Dreams with his mother, Lerato Khoarane.

The Khoarane family, from Virginia, believes education is the key to future success.

Mufare Trading and the Aldam Resort have joined hands with the foundation to make a difference in the lives of under-privileged learners.

In the first year the foundation could already provide school uniforms and shoes to 98 learners from less-privileged backgrounds. These learners are from the Emboniswene Primary School and the Boase Primary School, as well as the Reatlehile Secondary School, in Welkom and Virginia respectively.

The foundation also decided to prove to the children that hard work pays off. Each term top learners receive vouchers for a weekend of luxury accommodation at the Aldam Resort.

The voucher is for four people sleeping in one of the chalets and includes meals for the whole weekend.

Another incentive is vouchers for a Sunday meal for four at the resort
