The pageant, which will see the beautiful ladies from the municipality showing what they are made of, will be staged on 19 December. A venue for the event is yet to be confirmed.

According to Shadrack Maboea, responsible for the sponsorship and marketing, the contest is aimed at empowering young people through scholarships so that they could further their studies and reach their dreams.

He said the prizes that would be won on the day, include the scholarship voucher which would not be redeemable for cash.

“Education is an important tool in anyone’s life. It is something that no one can take away from you. It opens doors to success,” he said.

He further made a call to the business community of Dihlabeng to come on board and support the important project.

“A contribution to the project would be valuable. It is a platform to invest in the future of our community and to ensure that the skills are based in Dihlabeng. Let us hold hands to prepare the dynamic future of our young,” he said.
