SOME of South Africa’s

hottest musicians, Francois Henning (Snotkop), Joe Foster, Johnny Apple and Lianie May, took time out of their hectic schedule to mobilise the public in support of the Springboks’ quest for World Cup glory.

The foursome shared the stage at the Goldfields Casino’s stellar show held on Saturday, 4 July, in Welkom.

Snotkop, Apple and May also threw their full weight behind the national rugby side’s campaign to win the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

They signed a piece of the Springbok flag, a special South African flag, with messages of support leading up to the Rugby World Cup to be staged in England and Wales from 18 September to 31 October. The completed flag, sown together from all the pieces held at Tsogo Sun properties across the country, will be handed over to the Springbok rugby team before their departure for England.

The foursome deemed it important to support the Springboks as the national pride of South Africa. Members of the public are welcome to show their support by signing messages at the Goldfields Casino’s reception desk.

“We are thrilled to have hosted these sensational acts and to bring high quality entertainment to the Welkom region,” said Sibongile Tantsi, the Goldfields Casino’s marketing manager, after the show.

The artists also mingled with fans after the show and signed autographs
