Support charity walk

THE Goldfields community is encouraged to spend their 67 minutes by participating in this year’s Nelson Mandela Walk for Charity on 18 July. This coincides with Mandela’s birthday.

The Rotary Club of Goldfields Sunset, the Matjhabeng Local Municipality and the Publicity Association have teamed up to stage this charity walk of 4,9 km.

Registration for this fun family event will take place in the parking area on the southern side of the Goldfields Casino from 14:30, with the walk set to start at 16:00.

The entry fee is R20 per person for adults and R10 per child. In support of the initiative, members of the public can also donate a non-perishable food items or animal food of your choice.

All food collected will be distributed to needy families within the community and to the local SPCA. Companies who would like to enter teams can pre-register.

All participants will receive a specially-designed “Madiba Walk” Medal. For more information or pre-registration, contact Dulcie Harris on 074-899-4164
