POLICE are looking for four men who allegedly shot and killed two people and wounded another one in Bronville outside Welkom.

Sgt Mamello Mokhuoane, the police spokesperson in the area, said the incident happened at Bronville Extension 5 on Friday (16/10) at about 19:30.

“It is alleged that Teboho Dintsha (31) was sitting at home with his sister Thato Dintsha and his girlfriend, known only as Seipati, when the men kicked open the door of the house. Apparently they started shooting randomly at them without saying anything,” said Mokhuoane.

“Teboho was shot six times in the head and his sister tried to flee, but was also shot dead. Her body was found in the middle of the street.

“His girlfriend who was in the house was seriously wounded during the shooting,” explained Mokhuoane.

She said neighbours reacted promptly and phoned the police and ambulance.

“When the police arrived at the scene they found Thato ’s lifeless body in the middle of the street. Teboho was also found dead in the house,” said Mokhuoane.

Seipati was taken to hospital where she is receiving medical attention.

“We are investigating two counts of murder and attempted murder. No arrest has been made so far,” concluded Mokhuoane.

Anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of the suspects, should contact Capt. Elmarie van der Merwe on 082-301-2821
