US singer set to wow local fans

THE American singer Syleena Johnson

is part of the music line-up for the Women of Note celebration.

This event will be staged on Friday (21/08) at 19:00 in the University of Free State’s (UFS) Vista Arena in Bloemfontein.

The songstress from the United States will be joined on stage by Thandiswa Mazwai, Lira and Donald.

The much-awaited event is expected to attract a throng of music enthusiasts from across the country.

Newcomers such as Ayanda Jiya and Nathi are also going to enthral the crowd.

Another act scheduled for the night is DJ Shaxe Khumalo.

Johnson is an American Grammy Award-nominated Randamp;B and soul singer-songwriter and actor.

She will be expected to perform hit songs such as I Am Your Woman, Baby I’m So Confused, Guess What, as well as Hit On Me, to name but a few.

Tickets are on sale at Computicket from R290 (grand stand), R390 (golden circle) and R1 300 (VIP).

Doors open at 18:00
