YCLSA will kill off EFF

2015-07-29 06:00

DR BLADE NZIMANDE, South African Communist Party (SACP) general secretary (GS), at the mid-year congress of the YCLSA urged the Youth League to launch a political battle and kill off the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

Of course, we agree that indeed it was a serious setback that the ANCYL became embroiled in Game of Thrones

under the woeful leadership of Julius Malema.

In particular, negative tendencies that had been at work for some while flourished like noxious weeds sponsored by all manner of lumpen capitalists.

After the ANC’s 2007 Polokwane National Conference, the former leadership’s clique within the Youth League imagined themselves and proclaimed themselves to be “king makers”. Pursuing self-enrichment they bankrupted the league and turned it into personalised factions.

The YCLSA, have of course, welcomed the mandate and will kill the EFF just like we have killed Cope.

A narrow nationalist like Ndlozi always launches a skirmish of racist insults to the deputy general secretary of the SACP, Jeremy Cronin, by comparing him to a so-called “wood-work triple-H symbol” learner in the persona of Julius Malema.

Is this what Ndlozi speaks of in his definition of black intellectuals? Is he referring to those within the EFF?

This is an insult to black intellectuals to think that Julius Malema’s matric H-H-H symbol pass is intellectual.

The popular demagogues of the EFF are worse than a drunkard in their dreams of being bigger than the SACP in whatever ratio or methodology they attempt to use to gauge themselves.

For your information, the last national audit of the YCLSA performed last year December 2014 for its national congress indicates that the YCLSA membership stats stand at 86 000 members, and the recent SACP audit for this mid-year congress stands at 230 000. Marking a significant increase of 70 000 party members in just two years.

The party’s membership is the largest at anytime in its 94 years of unbroken revolutionary struggle and makes it the second-largest membership political formation in our country. This tells you that only attention seekers like the EFF and political drunkards like Ndlozi dream that the EFF is bigger that the SACP and YCLSA.

South Africans will never be fooled by these loud-mouthed demagogues, these tenderpreneurs in red berets who not only plagiarise our identities and ideas of our Provincial Youth Alliance (PYA) comprising of the ANC Youth League, YCLSA, South African Students Congress (Sasco) and Congress of South African Students (Cosas). Africa and the world have seen this kind of clowning before.

But, it is a mistake just to laugh it off: Hitler and Mussolini rose to prominence demagogically sprouting “socialism” and then when in power, they butchered the working class.

The EFF practises the same kind of demagogy that we are seeing playing itself out in front of us, by hijacking popular community struggles and insulting South Africans in parliament and provincial legislatures for their narrow selfish interests.

This tells you that only attention seekers like the EFF and political drunkards like Ndlozi dream that the EFF is bigger than the SACP and YCLSA
