Anas in Free State Stars’ plan

2017-01-25 06:02

Free State Stars look set to hand a deal to former Maritzburg United striker Mohammed Anas following a successful trial under current coach Serame Letsoaka.

The Ghanaian forward, who is currently on the books of Mbabane Swallows in Swaziland, has been on trial with Ea Lla Koto for the past two weeks and, according to information gathered by KickOff.com, has done enough to earn a contract with the club.

Confirmation by Mbabane Swallows chief executive officer, Sbusiso Manana, has intensified speculation that Stars have made contact with his club in regard to Anas’ signature.

“There has been contact. Both teams are talking,” Manana said.

Stars, who resume their Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign against Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on 7 February, are currently under the tutelage of head coach Letsoaka, after the Free State outfit parted ways with Italian tactician Giovanni Solinas.
