Big cat sanctuary hosts day of learning

2016-06-22 06:00

A WORLD without animal suffering – that is the world Four Paws strives for.

This Youth Day (16/06), the organisation shared its message of hope for the future with a group of young people of Phaphama Youth Development in Clarens.

Lionsrock is a project of Four Paws, a big cat sanctuary situated 18 km outside of Bethlehem.

A group of 40 children of Phaphama Youth Development in Clarens visited Lionsrock as part of a combined Youth Day initiative. The children, between the ages of 9 and 16 years, spent the day at Lionsrock enjoying a fun and educational visit.

“At Four Paws and Lionsrock, education is key to improving the future welfare of both animals and humans. Forty years ago, the youth rose up for what they believed in and we still celebrate this today.”

Thank you to all the sponsors who contributed to making this day possible: Golden Gateway Hospice, the Department of Social Development and the Clarens Wellness Day Spa. The children enjoyed lunch on the day and went home with stationery and care packages. – Four Paws Animal Welfare Foundation
