Cheetahs face Sharks

2017-03-22 06:04

The Toyota Cheetahs are gearing up for a titanic Super Rugby clash against the Sharks.

This takes place at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein on Saturday (25/03).

The hosts are gunning for a victory that will propel them high on the South African log and in the African Conference group.

Both rugby giants are eyeing qualification for the championship play-offs.

The hosts can look to exploit the advantage of playing on their home turf.

The Cheetahs have previously profited from playing on home ground, managing record wins over the Blue Bulls (34-28) and the Japanese outfit Sunwolves (38-31).

The only setback was a narrow defeat of 25-28 against the Lions in the opening fixture of the championship played early in February.

The competition features teams from Australia and New Zealand who pose a challenge to the South African teams.
