Clarinet Extravaganza concert in full swing at UFS this week

THE International Clarinet Extravaganza concert, featuring versatile musicians Alexander Fokkens, Danré Strydom, Sun Zhen, Marco Mazzini, Severine Sierens and Becky Stelzner, performing live in the Odeion Hall at the University of the Free State (UFS) campus in Bloemfontein, is in full swing.

Presented by the Free State Symphony Orchestra, the event started on Tuesday (04/10) and will end on Saturday (08/10).

Alexander has been involved in many different areas of classical music in South Africa and he currently holds a number of posts. In 2011, he was appointed artistic director and CEO of the Free State Symphony Orchestra, as well as conductor of the Free State Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets cost R50 per person and are available at Computicket.
