The Galeshewe-based Kyokushin Karate Sako Juku Club conti-nued to show great potential and growth as it highlighted some of the achievements of its members.

The team returned home with two trophies and two gold and seven silver medals from the provincial tournament.

This was hosted by the Shotokan team at the Jimmy Summers Hall in Kimberley in November 2016.

According to sensei Lawrence Booi, ten of his team members participated in the competition.

In another competition, the Matlosana Cup on 11 March, one of its members, Tumelo Sebolai (14), won a trophy after obtaining third position in the black belt category.

Booi said although five of his members made it to the finals, they unfortunately lost their fights.
