PEOPLE with disabilities in the Free State will showcase their talents during a live performance on Friday (16/09).

This will take place at the Mangaung Indoor Sport Centre at the Dr R.T. Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein when the rich heritage of African art will be celebrated.

The one-day event marks the celebration of African heritage under the theme, Free State People with Disabilities at Work Z Dispelling the Past Misconceptions.

The event will feature traditional and cultural activities.

An exhibition of handcrafted products promoting heritage and displaying work of people with disabilities, will also be held at the host venue.

“The project aims at enabling people with disabilities to be integrated into the community through performing arts and crafts activities,” said Bernard Tshabalala.

He said the event encompasses traditional and cultural events, showcasing the different heritage of the different nations.

Cultural performances include Zulu dance, Setswana dance, Sesotho’s Mookgibo, Mohobelo and poetry.

Organisations interested in participating in the one-day talent show are welcome to book.
