Father rapes daughter

2016-12-14 06:01

A 46-year-old man from Botshabelo, Section K, who raped his 11-year-old daughter after a Christmas shopping spree, has been handed down a life sentence.

The Botshabelo Regional Court convicted and sentenced the accused after finding him guilty of raping his daughter last year in December.

The sentencing followed intensive investigation by the police and evidence presented by the victim.

The incident took place in a house where the accused and the victim were accommodated for the night after the sister of the accused had chased them out of her house.

Sgt. Martin Xuma of the Selosesha police cluster, which includes Botshabelo, said the sister had chased away the accused and his daughter over disappointment that the accused had only bought clothes for his child, excluding his sister’s daughter.
