Festival to end on high note

2017-07-19 06:03

The organisers of the Gariep Arts Festival feel obliged to say goodbye to the premises of the festival on a high note.

The festival will be hosted for the last time at the Oppenheimer Gardens this year.

On the last day, which is Sunday, 3 September, there will be a free gospel show, Gospel Koebaai, from 10:00, that will see performances by various artists.

The show, to be hosted at the Gariep premises, will see Past. Werner Strauss delivering a message, sharing the stage with artists like Anna Davel and the Soweto String Quartet.

A large turnout is expected at the show, as it will be offered free of charge as a way of saying thank you for successfully running the show for the past 18 years.

Gospel lovers are encouraged to come early in order to reserve their picnic spots in time.

The gospel show finishes at 14:00 and the concert is expected to be a family affair, so everyone is welcome.
