The organiser of the 053 Concert, Manaka Productions, in collaboration with Northern Cape Express, is giving away free tickets for the concert to five readers.

All readers have to do, is to like both the pages of Manaka Productions and ExpressNorthern Cape before sending their response to each of the Facebook inboxes.

The collaboration follows a recent one between the 053 Concert and Sol Plaatje University (SPU) in hosting pressure games at the university on Saturday (16/09). The event, which included different sporting codes like male and female soccer, chess and an aerobics challenge, saw SPU winners receiving tickets to the 053 Concert.

The activities were part of Manaka Productions’ objective to bring a sense of inclusivity to the concert.

“SPU is part of our target market, seeing that Kimberley has limited activities of this nature. Thus we used this to get them involved as the youth, due to the fact that we are also students at the university,” said Obakeng Kock, public relations officer.

Manaka Productions regards the event as a success, as the students were left asking for more.

“We hope that the SPU saw the initiative as a springboard and will allow us to host more of such.

“The good thing about it is that it also involves students, building bridges among them as they encourage each other.”

Manaka Productions highlighted that the intention was further for the SPU management to recognise the potential for working in partnership.

Manaka Productions has more exciting programmes lined up for young people after the 053 Concert, which it has put its full focus on.

According to Manaka Productions, tickets are selling well.

Entrepreneurs and organisations can contact the organisers for permission to set up stalls at the event.

Tickets are available at Computicket at R100 (general) and R400 (VIP section).

Call Tshireletso Papi on 083-445-1281.

  • Question: Name the four hosts of the 053 Concert and the six supporting artists. The competion opens Friday (22/09) at 13:00 and closes on Thursday (28/09) at 12:00.

No entries received outside the stipulated times will be considered.

Responding on one Facebook page only will lead to the entry being disqualified.
