FREE STATE BORN Nthabiseng Shuping (33) is one of the top 100 semi-finalists for the Mrs South Africa pageant.

Altogether 100 beautiful, sophisticated and married women from all over South Africa gathered at a women-empowering workshop held at Emperors Palace in Gauteng on Friday (29/04).

From the 100, only 25 lucky women were selected to continue the journey as finalists for Mrs South Africa.

The beautiful wife and mother of three said that, even though she hadn’t make it to the top 25, she was proud to represent the Free State in the pageant.

A first-time entrant of the pageant, Shuping looks radiant as she speaks of her passion for empowering young women.

She says she wants to empower young women in her home town of Brandfort to encourage them to chase their dreams.

“I want young women to be dream chasers and not to be discouraged by where they come from,” said Shuping.

One of the requirements of the pageant included raising R9 000 for cancer awareness.

The family-oriented beauty says the pageant is a powerful platform to help transform the lives of young women, particularly in rural areas.

“The pageant is about being beautiful, both within and outside,” Shuping said.
