KESTELL. – Malefetsane Mofokeng (35), who hails from Tlholong near Kestell, needs your help.

Mofokeng is a gospel singer who dreams of sharing the stage with international artists. However, he needs music equipment in order to make that dream a reality.

“God gave me a voice and I want to use it. I am begging for help from anyone who can assist me. I need music equipment such as a keyboard, guitar, drums, speaker and microphones,” says Mofokeng.

He says he has been struggling to promote his recent album, Rata More, which translates as Love God.

“I am selling my album and I need to promote it at shopping centres and malls. However, this is not possible, since I do not have the equipment.

“I have sold 200 copies without any promotion. That shows that people like my music and that number might increase if I get a chance to promote it.”

Mofokeng started singing in 1990 while at the Moriting wa Thuto High School in Clarens. He went on to sing for the clap and tap stet gospel choir Baemedi ba Tumeleo in Kestell.

How much food do you need to concentrate?

We have been taught that we need three meals a day in order to make it through the day and while most of us indulge in more than our fair share there is a large portion of South Africans who are living off barely enough to sustain them.
